Have you displayed any of my 36th Evacuation Hospital Museum photo Exhibit that I donated?

    • Angelique Kelley on July 30, 2024 at 9:33 pm

Thank you for reaching out to us! For many years, very few additions were made to the museum’s galleries to include adding new photographs to our exhibits. However, with the current renovations we have the opportunity to greatly expand what is on display, and generous donations, such as your photographs of the 36th Evacuation Hospital, will be included in our review and selection process for the new exhibits. We thank you for your generosity and we hope you will come visit us when the museum reopens to the public.

When the Congressional Gold Medal For the Vietnam Medevac & Dustoff aircrews is awarded, it will be maintained at the Army Medical Museum. Bronze copies of the medal have been authorized to sell. Will these copies be available through the museum gift shop? If not, can you tell me the procedure to obtain one.
I was a member of Alpha platoon, 142nd Med.
Det. Air Ambulance, 1st Cav. Div. In 1966.

Thank you for reaching out the AMEDD Museum! You are correct that the current legislation has the Congressional Gold Medal coming to the museum for preservation. Unfortunately, we do not yet know when that will occur, nor have we been given information regarding the sale of bronze copies of the medal. We would suggest reaching out to the Vietnam Dustoff Association (https://www.vietnamdustoff.com/) or the Dustoff Association (https://dustoff.org/) for additional information regarding the medal. Thank you again for reaching out, and although the AMEDD Museum is currently closed for renovations, we hope you will come visit us when we reopen.
